Century Hualian is one of China's most trusted community supermarket brands. When their Hangzhou flagship store needed a complete merchandising upgrade, they partnered with VIGO DISPLAY to deploy a professional, easy-to-maintain display system — from shelf labeling to checkout conversion.
The Challenge
Like many traditional supermarkets, the store relied on handwritten price tags and improvised cardboard signage. Four key issues stood out after our on-site audit:

• Inconsistent shelf labeling — mixed paper stickers caused pricing errors and customer complaints.
• Low promotion visibility — A4 printouts taped to shelves went unnoticed by shoppers.
• Poor zone navigation — no clear signage, customers spent 5–8 minutes finding products.

The Solution
We designed a three-zone strategy targeting the store's most high-impact touchpoints:
Shelf Labeling System
Over 600 hanging shelf price labels and clip-on price tag holders were installed across grocery, daily necessities, and fresh food aisles. The card-insert design lets staff swap price tags in seconds — no tools needed. Price tag errors dropped from 8% to under 2%.
Promotion & Navigation
Transparent poster frames (JK-1) and adjustable floor standing sign holders (JK-3E / JK-4E) were placed at end-caps and high-traffic intersections. Ceiling-suspended acrylic zone signs now guide customers to Fresh Food, Grocery, and Daily Necessities sections at a glance. Product-finding time dropped by over 60%.
Promotion Zone Conversion
The vacant promotion zones were equipped with A4 Acrylic Sign Holders. The lightweight tabletop stands allow staff to swap promotional posters quickly without tools, turning shoppers’ browsing time into new product discovery and impulse purchase opportunities. Impulse purchases within promotion zones increased by over 30%.
